And that would be Dawn not darn 🙃

Darn this is a truly beautiful reminder that after the death knell ache of burnout can come a still quiet sweetness that is made even more so because of the windy path.

I love how your burnout has led you to these delightful creations & would love to chat around possibly using them with my clients. Would that be something you would consider?

I love this so much and that your journey felt like the blooming of that beautiful rose that you drew. I have found that mindful colouring is one of the only things that truly switches my mind off, but I would really love to draw and paint. So many people have gifts that are waiting to be discovered and shared. We just have to slow down enough to listen to the whispers of our soul. 🙏💫

Thank you so much Louise for taking time to read and comment, it means so much 🤍 .

Yes, 🙌 it's amazing how such a simple activity can be so powerful that it switches off the racing mind. I think if we start small and allow ourselves grace and patience to mess up, being like a child again and making it playful, this way drawing painting can become relaxing not something to we have to worry about the end result. Good luck and do let me know how you get on. 🌻 x

Just loved reading this, Dawn! I love your rose drawing, it's beautiful. I found my way back into drawing and painting through colouring books too! There's so much wisdom here about pacing ourselves, finding joy in the the things we've loved all along... So good. Thank you for sharing! And I agree with Luisa, your dog is so so cute! 💗

Thanks Charlene glad it resonated with you, colouring books are such a great way back to creativity isn’t it, slowly reminding us what we’d been missing.

It’s fantastic you’re drawing and painting. I’m going to get the paints out again soon and have some fun!

Chase our Italian Greyhound is a cutie... loves to be at the centre of everything!

What a beautiful healing story! We are going to do the colouring this morning. You do have a talent for drawing 🥰 this reminds me of when I started doing puzzles. In my deepest burnout phases I felt my ‘brain’ was lost. One of my skills has always been to put things in order so doing puzzles helped me to claim that back. 💕

Aww Rachelle, that’s amazing that you are going to do the colouring sheet I attached. I hope you had fun with it. ✍️

So good that you found a way to help your brain when you were experiencing deep burnout. Puzzles are such a good fun and rewarding way to actively rest. We all need to have something to return us back to ourselves don’t we. 🥰

Thank you so much Luisa, it’s so lovely to know that sharing my story can touch someone else. Yes, Chase my dog is so calming and has taught me a lot.

Self doubt stopped me for a long time with many things, I just think we have to give ourselves space to give it a go! The magic of play is where it all begins.

I hope you get to do some sketches soon love to hear how you get on ✨🤍
